simple science experiments for kindergarten

Hey kids! Well are you ready to do some fun science experiments? So today we are gonna do some really simple but exciting experiments you can do right in your home. To help you all find some amazing things about science to explore together, our friends at PPT have put together a step-by-step guide of how you all can find out what's happening in the world of science. Let’s get started!

So you want to see how air works? We are curious too! For this first experiment all you need is a balloon and a bottle. Start by stretching the balloon over the top of the bottle. That might take a little effort, but you can do it! Then blow up the balloon and see how it inflates the bottle with air. What do you think happens? Outside the bottle, the air is even tighter than inside. When we blow more air into the bottle, it pushes back against the air already in there to keep the system balanced. Isn’t that cool?

Exploring Colors and Reactions!

Now, let’s do the opposite! To make bubbles, use dish soap and water, too. Just mix some soap and water in a bowl and gently blow to make bubbles. You will see that the bubbles get bigger and smaller as they float upwards. Some will be grand, and some will be little! This also is a fun way to understand air! The most exciting thing is small bubbles move to the upper side!

Pour some vinegar on top of the paste next and see what happens! It will bubble and fizz, and some beautiful, colorful patterns will appear. It’s like a mini volcano! You can also play around with mixing food colorings to get different colors. 12> When things go Boom: This is an excellent way to learn about chemical reactions and how ingredients interact to create a super fun substance!
