To prepare the borax solution Step 5: Combine 1 teaspoon borax with 1/2 cup warm water in your other bowl. Stir it until you dissolved the borax. This is an important step since the borax is what makes your slime stretchy and fun!

Glow-in-the-Dark Slime: For something truly awesome, make glow-in-the-dark slime! Just use the basic slime recipe, and in place of food coloring, add some glow-in-the-dark paint. Your slime will glow in the dark when the lights go out!
